Earthworms are one of the best indicators of healthy soil.

Gordon, a dairy farmer from East Gippsland, has used Enhanced Worm Leachate for a number of years. As part of his soil health program, he also applies Humic Acid, Boron, Tri Kelp and Fulvic Acid to his pastures. Gordon tells me that whenever the soil is damp, he can dig virtually anywhere on his farm and consistently find at least 25 earthworms in every spadeful of soil. Applying 10 to 15 litres per hectare of Enhanced Worm Leachate costs approximately $18.90 to $28 per hectare.

Based on current fertiliser prices, nitrogen (urea) for canola as an example applied at say 160 kg per hectare, costing approximately $160 per hectare.

Our Enhanced Worm Leachate System

We enhance our worm leachate by adding molasses, Tri Kelp Concentrate, Omnia Fulvic Acid and K-Humic-26% through a 40-hour fermentation process. During this time the system is continuously circulated and aerated to maintain oxygen levels and massively multiply beneficial microbial communities.

When Bacteria, Yeasts and other microbes start multiplying they metabolise the sugars and produce CO2 Gas, Proteins and organic compounds called surfactants creating the foam. A good active foam indicates strong microbial growth, oxygenation and active fermentation biology.

Traditional fertilisers like superphosphate and synthetic inputs add nutrients directly to soil, but much becomes locked up and unavailable to plants.
